What’s in a name?

What IS in a name?

Evan, Cody, Jacob, Jesse…

I want a name with some significance to Spring or track.

Carlin, Colin, Carson…

She wants some sort of phonetic sounding name.

Eddie, Armin, Ryan, Justin…

When we agree, we both disagree within a week.

Joey, Joseph, Austin, Martin…

There has to be some middle ground.

Maybe, Well, Know, When, We, See, You…

He will have to decide when he shows up!

Family lore has it that I was Nellie until I was born, when it suddenly became clear that I was Wendy. Who knows? What a fun decision to be making!

Good luck with this! And I’ve always felt like being in the education world really limits your options – you always know which names you DON’T want after the kids that may have given you a hard time! In Hawaiian tradition, you sometimes don’t name a baby until after the arrival. It’s very common to wait as you don’t really know baby and his/her personality until they’re here. Hope he’s not coming anytime soon, which will give you more time to decide – though all of the names in your post are great names! 🙂 Thank you for sharing!

My sister-in-law was so stuck on the name Rebecca for my niece. When she was born, they took one look at her and said no way, She is a Jessica!
